Ragazzi, paura vera. Avete letto la notizia ? E' su molti siti e parla del richiamo di 68.000 pneumatici Pilot Power e Pilot Power 2ct front 120/70/17 venduti in Europa e Nord America. Pare che il problema si manifesti "solo" alle alte velocità !

PARIS, June 15 (Reuters) - French tyre group Michelin (MICP.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Friday it was recalling some 68,000 motorbike tyres after finding a possible defect in their tread due to a manufacturing fault.
The company said it would recall the Pilot Power 2CT and Pilot Power 120/70 ZR 17 front motorcycle tyres. A Michelin spokeswoman said the recall would affect tyres sold in 40 countries in north America and Europe.

(STOKE-ON-TRENT – 15 June 2007) – Michelin has launched a campaign to recall its Pilot Power 2CT and Pilot Power 120/70 ZR 17 front motorcycle tyres with “Made in France” markings. An examination of these tyres showed a possible defect in the tread due to a manufacturing irregularity. No cases of pressure loss have been reported and no accidents have occurred.
Because customer safety is its primary concern, Michelin has decided as a precaution to replace certain 120/70 ZR 17 Michelin Pilot Power 2CT and Michelin Pilot Power front tyres, which can be identified by the following markings on the sidewall:
* a “Made in France” label
* DOT 6UCW 980T or DOT 6UCW 979T
* Pilot Power: week numbers 2704 to 0406 inclusive
* Pilot Power 2CT: week numbers 4505 to 1807 inclusive
These tyres will no longer be sold by dealers.

la michelin richiama 68.000 pneumatici anteriori pilot power e power 2ct per difetti di fabbricazione, anche se non sono occorsi ancora incidenti o perdite di pressione.
controllate chi li ha montati se rientrano in queste produzioni:
*made in france
* DOT 6UCW 980T or DOT 6UCW 979T (corrisponde allo stabilimento dove sono state prodotte )
*PILOT POWER DAL 2704 AL 0406
*PILOT POWER 2CT DAL 4505 AL 1807
sono tutte informazioni leggibilissime sul fianco del pneumatico.
dice anche che queste gomme non saranno piu' vendute dai dettaglianti.
per fortuna che il mio marchio principale non e' michelin, altrimenti erano c***i amari. incredibile, due anni di fabbricazione sbagliati, mi vengono i brividi a pensare ai poveri gommisti che ne hanno montate centinaia in questo periodo, ed ai poveri motociclisti che le dovranno cambiare subito.
