Che ho tempi lunghissimi ormai non è una novità, ma alla fine qualcosa riesco anche a finire :biggrin3:

Come avevo più volte promesso in altri post durante i work in progress, è finalmente arrivato il momento di presentare una delle due moto appena finite. A breve aprirò un thread dedicato anche per l'altra.

Premetto che ci sono andate circa 500 ore di lavoro, quindi anche riassumendo al massimo, viene fuori comunque un post bello lungo...
Consiglio di mettersi comodi, versarsi qualcosa da bere, meglio se alcolico :lingua: e buttarsi nella carrellata di foto. :popcornsmiley:

Dunque, anche questa volta la base di partenza non di Hinckley, e non è nemmeno inglese, spero mi perdonerete.
Si tratta di una Yamaha XV750 del '81, per la precisione questa quà.

Ad essere onesti, se già il modello di serie non è un gran chè (senza offesa per nessuno), a questa poveretta il proprietario precedente aveva riservato un trattamento speciale... :sad:

E una volta cominciato a smontarla le cose non sono migliorate, anzi, era quasi meglio da "vestita"...

Vista la forma particolare del telaio, ho voluto provare qualcosa di leggermente diverso per il telaietto reggisella, invece dei soliti tubi volevo fare un telaietto semi-billet... :blink:

In questa fase di "brainstorming" (che fa sempre figo...), mentre la testa è impegnata a pensare come andare avanti con il progetto, devo tenere occupate le mani.. e quindi perdo sempre un po' di tempo a costruire tanti piccoli dettagli "di contorno", come per esempio il tappo carter in ottone

Il tappo del serbatoio è stato realizzato modificando un vecchio tappo "Aston" da auto, rimane un po' sproporzionato, quasi cartoonesco, ma mi piaceva così!

Ma torniamo alle cose serie.
Uno dei problemi principali era come affrontare la conversione per le ruote a raggi.
Quasi mai un grosso problema, ma in questo caso la trasmissione a cardano ha complicato un bel po' le cose..

Tralascio tutte le foto della lavorazione, abbastanza noiose, ma ho dovuto sacrificare la ruota in lega originale e modificare il mozzo e il tamburo di quella a raggi per renderla compatibile con l'attacco del cardano.

All'anteriore invece sono partito da un cerchio posteriore da enduro... Smontato e tornito l'attacco della corona. Tolte le bave della fusione e lucidato.

Per il faro anteriore non riuscivo a trovare una misura giusta, quindi ho usato un "trucco" per ingrandire un faro altrimenti troppo piccolo.

Per il contagiri ho usato il solito bricco del latte dell'Ikea (più un porta sigaro per l'indicatore di cambiata... ma in queste foto ancora non si vede) con all'interno un contagiri programmabile da auto. Il tutto nascosto dietro un vetro scuro.

A questo punto, per far lavorare il tamburo posteriore come si deve, ho dovuto costruire un sistema che sembra complicato, ma alla fine non lo è: alla pressione della leva si tira la barra che aziona il freno e nello stesso momento si spinge un secondo meccanismo che regola, attraverso un fermo, la posizione della leva e aziona il contatto dello stop, il tutto attraverso una seconda molla che, una volta rilasciata la leva del freno, aiuta a riportarla in posizione di riposo e a ritirare le ganasce.

A questo punto, con un avantreno così massiccio, non si può lasciare il retro con le sospensioni originali, pessime tra l'altro...
Inoltre, regolare l'altezza del retro, mi serve anche per regolare di fino inclinazione di sterzo e quindi avancorsa.

Il mono scelto arriva da una R1, ma per montarlo è necessaria una piastra di adattamento e due nuovi supporti saldati sul telaio

Quella sullo sfondo è una TR-1, stesso telaio e stesso motore della XV, ma 1000cc e trasmissione a catena, quindi nonostante gli indiscutibili limiti, 100 volte meglio del 750!
Invece sul CB750 ci hai preso, è un progeto personale e, in quanto tale, non so quando riuscirò a finirlo... :cry:

La forcella Showa da 43 è sempre la mia preferita :laugh2:



Al momento ho solo i video della prima accensione e come al solito il suono in video non corrisponde mai alla realtà, soprattutto se il video è fatto con una macchina fotografica...

Si sente però abbastanza bene un ticchettio costante che pensavo fosse di valvole, ma he si è rivelato essere "camma-spianate-più-bilancere-tritato" :dry:

Il punto stà proprio lì, è fatta su misura e quindi rispecchia il più possibile i gusti e lo stile di chi ci appoggerà sopra le chiappe!:biggrin3:
Comunque le forche nere sono state in forse per molto tempo e il cerchio posteriore da 17 sarebbe piaciuto anche a me.
Purtroppo per limiti meccanici non ci stà proprio, o meglio, bisognerebbe avere una spalla bassissima con largezza max 140 ed esteticamente sarebbe stato davvero male...

Per quanto abbia poco senso commentare un post dell’anno scorso, come si fa a non complimentarsi per la bellezza del progetto e per la capacità di realizzarlo così bene?
Ottime le foto: le fasi della lavorazione sono belle tanto quanto il prodotto finito.
