Street Triple 800 in arrivo? By MCN

"I was at the Triumph dealer in Istanbul today. And by pure coincidence I saw the photos of the real 765 today I walked in to the logistics department to ask about some parts that I ordered and they were looking at the new 2017 ST models on the screen. Before they had a chance to turn off the screen I saw the images of the 2017 ST models))) I asked them to show me the details since already saw the real thing even for a second, they declined and gave me the confidentiality /NDA BS speech :/.

Anyhow I noticed S, R and RS models in the heading... Clearly saw 765 for sure!
There was no mention of the RT though...

The ST 765 R (I noticed the NISSIN calipers so it wasn't an RS) in white looks more like the Speed Triple 2016 R actually. The rear end is wider than the Daytona 675 /RX with a seat cowl. The radiator side cover is metal just like the Speed Triple 2016 R's ... and the red side cowl also looks just like the Speed Triple 2016's. Also I noticed the same bar-end mirrors, and the headlights as the Speed Triple's.
The exhaust looked different, rounder for sure and the end of the exhaust looking upwards... but before i could take a good look they noticed me looking over their shoulders and turned the monitor off :/
Oh and there's a T logo on the side of the engine cover ..."

stamattina sono passato in conce,a suo dire non esiste nessuna foto o anteprima per loro

Passato anche io per altre cose e già che c'ero ho chiesto,
foto,mi ha garantito che non ne hanno viste..
mentre per certo sanno che sono 3 versioni tutte naked,
niente semicarenata che sembra sia stata accantonata definitivamente,
125cv la Rs,estetica simile alla Speed ecc

Arriveranno in conce a marzo/aprile,al Bike-Expo di Verona tra 10 giorni si potrà toccare con mano..

Che amarezza.......d'altra parte i numeri parlano chiaro: il 50% delle vendite le fanno con le MC (dato rilasciato dal general manager Triumph in un'intervista su IN MOTO). Il restante 50% è diviso tra famiglia Tiger; Triple e le cruiser per ultime. Le Tiger vivono un momento d'oro in quanto in molti si sono convertiti alle Enduro stradali (e per molti aspetti li capisco). La percentuale di vendita delle amate triple è davvero ridotta all'osso. Se aggiungiamo che il segmento delle semicarenate ha un peso percentuale ridicolo sulle vendite, ecco il motivo per il quale non uscirà!
Ducati, KTM, Suzuki e Kawasaki ci hanno creduto ed hanno investito su tale segmento. Evidentemente Triumph non vuole rischiare di immettere sul mercato un prodotto apprezzato da pochi in Italia. Poi, mai dire mai............basta prendere una Street, comprare la carena di un Day e lavorare di immaginazione ;-)

per uso stradale con la semicarenata e una impostazione più rilassata rispetto alla daytona vai forte uguale e nei trasferimenti godi di più ..

Ma quale moto per vecchi !!! Ci vuole tanto a pensare di proporre una moto con l'efficacia di guida della Street R ma con un minimo di protezione e comodità in più ??? E non venitemi a dire che per quello ci sono le pseudo endurone, se voglio il pachiderma vado un macchina... io voglio una moto sportiva ma con moderazione, quindi ottima dotazione tecnica, un po' di carico verso l'anteriore per migliorare il feeling in curva, peso contenuto e potenza giusta per la guida allegra su strada. Ci vuole tanto ???

Se davvero la Street RT non ci sarà mai, quando sarà il momento di cambiare la mia 675 valuterò molto seriamente la nuova Ducati SuperSport, unica moto che al momento rappresenta il concetto che ho in mente.
